"Can you spell that?"...M.E.L.I.S.S.A

If the person at Starbucks can't spell my name, does that make me old; meaning is Melissa an old name? When I was a kid, Melissa was the number two name behind Jennifer. I was Melissa (last name initial) through middle school! The girl at Starbucks today actually asked how to spell my name. I've had other people ask me to spell it also. Am I old or do they just have trouble spelling? I know how to spell names that aren't from my generation, like Mildred, Beatrice, Florence, Dorothy, Margaret etc. Man, I feel old. Or maybe I'm just a better speller. I mean I DID win the 5th grade spelling bee! Ha Ha!
