Ruby Jubilee is a term used to celebrate a 40th anniversary. If you’ve found this page, you are likely just joining the Fabulous 40s or you’re already part of the club. Either way, WELCOME! In all likelihood, you remember the first video that was played on MTV in the 80s (Video Killed The Radio Star), remember the name of the teacher (Mrs. Clark) whose class you were in when the Challenger went down in 1986, waited anxiously to see if you were going to get a Cabbage Patch Kid for the holidays (RIP “Kim Stella” and “Jacob Emmanuel”), had a chalkboard/phonebook holder phone on the wall in your kitchen, and can still pinpoint the names of every single person in 1984’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas” by Band-Aid video! If I had to guess, like myself, you started out with a Hotmail address as well and you still have it!
If so…you’ve come to the right place! Welcome! This is a fun place to be! I love nostalgia, so look forward to reminiscing. I am wild about music and I do have quite a good Spotify playlist if I do say so myself. This page is a place for people in their forties (and those older or younger than 40 are welcome to join us in this wonderful journey as well) to come for a laugh, share a story, relax and hopefully realize that age is just a number — nothing but a number! Visit my "About Me" page to learn more about me, my inspiration for this page and what I hope this page can bring to you.
Thank you for visiting Ruby Jubilee!
